North Kildare Celtic Supporters Club
The North Kildare Celtic Supporters Club are based in the Newtown Inn, Maynooth. All Sky Sports and BT Sports games are shown live on the big screen
History
The North Kildare Celtic Supporters Club was formed in August 2019 with a single Facebook page that quickly grew to 900+ Followers and 65 paid up club members, quickly highlighting the demand for a CSC in the area and a home to show games. The early objectives of the CSC were simple:
● Provide somewhere for Celtic fans in North Kildare to watch games together
● Organise Travel for games to watch Celtic
● Access tickets for Celtic games
On September 10th the inaugural North Kildare CSC meeting was held and the following committee was elected

- John McHale – Treasurer
- Mick Donnelly – Vice Treasurer
- Dylan Judge – Social Media Coordinator
- Nathan Hawkins – Student Coordnator
- Paddy Burns – Mercandising
After the initial meeting everything took off. Within weeks we had 65+ members, bought a club flag and ordered and sold 30 CSC Polos to fund a Live Band. We got all paperwork submitted to the AICSC and became official members of the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters Clubs.
The Newtown Inn has become our home for all Celtic games and provides an excellent venue to watch games and socialise. It’s a 10 minute walk from the 66 Bus stop and Maynooth Train station. All televised games are shown on the big screen and in our short stay we have experienced some great games. The highlight of the early months of the CSC was staging the Invincible’s Ballad Group after our League Cup SF win against Hibernian with around 80-100 Celtic fans in attendance.
Since then we had bands playing on 3 occasions to a packed Newtown Inn and our 4th planned band had to be cancelled due to coronavirus. The Newtown Inn has quickly become the hub for Celtic fans all over Kildare West Dublin and with plenty of seating, multiple screens and great bar staff it is the perfect home. We have no doubt there would have experienced many more great days and nights by the end of the season had the virus not struck these shores.
